Admission at Columbia Place Retirement Home is meant to be an easy process. First, we meet with the future resident and/or representative for a facility tour. Then the future resident is assesed. We have six levels of care. They are described below.

Level 1 - Independent in daily living activities, able to take decisions and have responsibilties. Can learn new information. Price: $1500/month.

Level 2 - Independent in daily living activities. Might need help with decision making and finance. May be impulsive and have subtle memory problems. Can learn new information. Price: $1800/month.

Level 3 - Physically independent in daily living activities, but needs assistance to initiate or monitor quality of care. Needs increased assistance with all cognitive skills. Has notable problems with memory. Does not anticipate possible dangers or consequences of actions. Needs assistance to live in the community. Price: $2,200/month.

Level 4 - Needs assistance with all daily living activities. Has significant memory impairment and is unable to learn new information. Begins to forget what objects are and how to use them. Easily distracted by noise or activities. Price: $2,700/month.

Level 5 - Dependent in care. Can no longer recognize familiar people or objects. Falls are frequent, and swallowing is difficult. Unable to understand or express self verbally. Price: $3,300/month.

Level 6 - Totally dependent in all care. Generally is bedridden, and all basic needs must be met by a caregiver. Price: $3,900/month.
